Hello and happy mid-March Monday, today I would like to share some of my favorite past issues of the brothmailer along with some exciting news regarding this soup season.
For some reason, I cannot get away from chicken noodle soup. I love it and I want to eat it all the time. I guess there’s good reason why it’s like, the king of soups. When it’s good it’s the perfect thing to eat. Follow this recipe and you’re pretty well guaranteed to be eating a very good soup. I made this last week and enjoyed it in this custom-made cloonanware bowl that was gifted to me at my last pop up by an absolutely lovely local ceramicist. Thank you. I love presents.
CHICKEN NOODLE
Looking back on things that I’ve written and published brings up an array of emotions. Sometimes I am embarrassed for myself and sometimes I am pleasantly surprised and proud of myself. Not only does this issue serve an absolutely incredible and delicious soup recipe, but it’s some of my favorite writing that I’ve done on this platform.
LENTIL & BURNISHED ONIONS
With Easter fast approaching, it only makes sense to remind you of this Ham and Bean Soup. It’s everything that I know and feel about beans plus a low maintenance soup recipe that pays off big time.
HAM AND BEAN
If you’ve followed me for longer than a few months, you most likely know that Tortellini Sausage is my favorite soup and the soup that started it all. This issue is a beautiful ode to my beautiful Mom plus a fun, silly story.
TORTELLINI SAUSAGE
I spent the last week in North Carolina on what turned out to be one of the best vacations I have ever had. I’ve been going to the beach in March for the last five years or so and I really can’t recommend Spring time beach trips enough. There’s something about being in a tourist space in the off-season that makes me feel special. That being said I am now back in town, ready to get cooking, and looking forward to the upcoming season.
LOOKING FORWARD
I am very excited to announce that starting this weekend brothmonger soups will be available every week (until they sell out) at thyme machine during their normal business hours. This week I am going to be offering wedding soup and a vegetarian option yet to be determined. Please follow along on mine and their Instagram for updates on what will be available when. I would like to formally express a humongous thanks to Thyme Machine for giving brothmonger a home again. Being able to feed you fine people is my greatest joy. Please feel free to send me your soup requests.
Thank you
I love you
